When shall I exercise?
The best time to exercise is eight hours after you wake up. If you rise at 8am, the best time to exercise is 4pm. Therefore, a few minutes of playing with your Labrador Retriever, substantially increases the amount of fat you burn off.
How long is my prescription valid?
Prescriptions are valid for a period of 6 months from date of issue, there are exceptions for these please ask the Pharmacist for more information.
Is it worth taking multivitamins?
Ultimately it is best to have a fully balanced diet with a full complement of fruit, vegetables, and fish with naturally occurring vitamins. If you are unable to do this, take a multivitamin tablet each day. Vitamins and minerals are essential for the human body, as our body alone cannot produce sufficient quantities.
Generic drugs and branded drugs: what’s the difference?
The only differences between generic drugs and branded drugs are the name and the price. For example, the generic name for Aspirin is Acetylsalicylic Acid. Generic drugs must be exactly the same as their branded equivalents in terms of dosage form, ingredients, and strength.

How can I organise my prescriptions?
We at Connolly’s Pharmacy can place your tablets into convenient blister packs free of charge. Each pack has, for example, a week’s worth of tablets. Alternatively, you can buy a tablet organiser, which allows you to organise your dosage on a daily or weekly basis. You can also use a pocket notebook or the calendar app of your smartphone to better organise your course of medication.
